No no..

The Twins claimed Washburn off waivers last summer, meaning Seattle could have completely washed their hands of him without giving up anything else to sweeten the deal.

This Wash+Clement business is a completely separate deal, and I can't say I'm disappointed it didn't go through. Young is a poor fit for this team and organization.

sounded like it was goin to be wash and clement for delmon young, but lincoln screwed it up. that would have been a nice chunk of the salary gone, and young is pretty good as well.

If we're looking for a "big bat" why Anderson, he only hit 15 Homers in a hitters ball park. Lopez has more power than him. Trade Washburn sign Abreu before another team does.

It would be terrible if we signed Anderson. He is not the right fit for this team.

I've never thought of griffey as a "mentor" and I think the only way he could make sense is if we either dumped Joh or traded Clement somewhere to open up our DH slot a little more.

Either way, I don't like having Armstrong meeting with anyone. He and Lincoln need to shut up and let Z do his job.

i don't want anderson, either trade for someone, or sign abreu, or just go with what we have. Don't sign anderson or griffey. I read in one of the comments above that anderson doesn't hussle, which i agree with. But it in the same comment he said griffey could teach our youngsters a lot... Well i remember watching junior jog to first base a lot whenever he grounded out or flew out. In fact didn't the cincinnati announcer call him out on it when he first went to cincy?

Armstrong and Lincoln were a big part of why Junior left Seattle, so why in God's name are they meeting with his rep? Stay out of Z's way. Anderson was a good player, keyword "was".

Anderson is a jerk from what I understand. The last thing we need is tension around young players. He doesn't hustle either. I would much rather have Bobby or Jr. Either one of them could teach a lot to the young guys.

Completely agree. No on Anderson.

Why the hell is Armstrong meeting with any representative for any player. Stay out of the way and let Jack Z do his job. Armstrong and Lincoln already botched the Washburn situation last year...haven't they learned thier lesson.
