Delgado’s Advantage?

Another quick blurb. I keep reading that RHRP Jesus Delgado is out of options and needs to make the 25-man roster in order to avoid being placed on the waiver wire. This makes perfect sense, since Seattle acquired him via waivers, but it hadn’t occurred to me for some reason.
So, you’ve got to wonder if Delgado has an advantage over a Shawn Kelley or someone else in filling that final bullpen spot left by the departure of Tyler Walker. We’ll see.

I think that Delgado’s stuff is pretty good, but he doesn’t have quite the consistancy that Kelley does. Kelley, in every outting that I saw him in was continuously close to the strikezone.
I like Delgado though and I think that he could be a servicable member of the bullpen. Which ever way it shakes out I believe that Kelley will see some MLB time this season.

I would like Delgado to make the team. I like Kelley but we can call him up after Batista gets tossed into the scrap heap, or even after the all star break when several roster spots will open up due to trade.
Delgado and Lugo, I like ‘em both.
