@ seatown - amen to that. I've been seeing more people complaining about Bavasi today, but it's useless to whine about it. It is what it is, and we need to work with it and go.

Obviously, I would rather have Morrow in the starting rotation but at least this gives them a closer that we know is good. Although it does make signing Fields look really stupid.

I agree that Morrow would be a great injury concern I'm not all that mad at seeing him in the bullpen where he was lights out. And I'm glad that I don't have to deal with all the innings limits and pitch limits.

In hindsight signing Fields looks really really bad. But I think it just shows that the management truly wanted and expected Morrow to be a starter, so I guess their hearts (or heads, rather) were in the right place.

The catcher situation irks me more than the Morrow thing, but hopefully it will be resolved soon.

That is definitely Bavasi's problem. He drafted Morrow and stuck him in the pen. I think Morrow would be injury plagued as a starter, so probably smart move on his part to move to the pen, but it does hurt that Z signed Fields...another closer. That's my one criticism of his decisions thus far in his tenure here.

yeah it has been, but what i don't get is how the m's current management is catching the heat for morrows decision. if anything bavasi should be catching all of the heat. morrow feels more comfortable in the pen for whatever reason... it's time to deal with it and move on. all the whining in the world won't change it.
