I think you guys are crazy.

Kenji is one of the best catchers offensively and defensively in baseball. His inability to frame pitches, call a good game, etc. can be improved with instruction. It seems that'd be the smarter thing to do as opposed to giving playing time to Burke, who is a backup for a reason. At least until Clement is ready and it's decided he's gonna play behind the plate in majors.

That said, keep up the good work, Jon & co.

Jon,
Very impressive article,You brought to my attention an aspect about Kenji that I never realized.Though he has been solid offensively for us in the past if his struggles continue they should consider having Jamie start more games. This being his last season they will probably ride him out the rest of the year.Great stats on the pitchers performances with him catching,it would be worth a shot playing Jamie more.Again great read....

I love Jamie burke he reminds me of Dan Wilson ( the greatest Mariner catcher of All-time) Burke is such a smart player he always thins about what is best for the team he is a team player un-like Kenji who swings at the first pitch more often than than anyone in the majors thats not good team play. I remember a lot times when he swings at the first pitch and ruins a rally with a double play we dont need that shit anymore!

I say trade kenji and bring up Clement we could trade Kenji and Morse or some other package for a good reliever or Maybe we can get Ken Griffey Junior

THANK YOU!

I couldn't agree more. I've been on the ditch Kenji bandwagon for quite some time.
