You throw Johjima under the bus. You say there are language barriers that make you pitch terrible when he catches. You get your wish and Burke catches.

You get blasted. Maybe it’s not the catchers at fault…

    Washburn easily has the worst “stuff” of all Mariner starters, and that isn’t a new development.

    Could it be the fact that Washburn’s fastball is 85 MPH and his change up is 81 MPH???

    Or the fact that he hangs a lot of breaking balls?

    Or that he has not out pitch?

    Or that…….HE’S OLD…..

    Washburn threw 4 straight pitches that became 4 straight hits. How is that possible?

    This guy is so bad that even after however many years he’s been with the m’s, my dad still doesn’t know his first name….he is THAT forgetable.
