Dude...Ichiro in his prime was 3.6 seconds...3.4 second is speed comparable to the young Rickey Henderson...forget about Ichiro...that&#039;s absolutely BLAZING speed.  That kind of speed would allow him to steal bases in bunches even if he weren&#039;t a particularly smart baserunner.</description>

Still, between advanced metrics, free agency rules, supplemental drafts and collective bargaining agreements I&#039;d say the national pastime loses a lot of casual fans that can&#039;t keep up with all of that stuff.</description>
