Jamie McOwen of the High Desert Mavericks had his 45 game hit streak snapped on Friday night after going hitless in four plate appearances.  McOwen’s streak was the eighth longest in minor league history.

I’m not sure this is the plan, but it would be nice to see him promoted to AA West Tenn as a reward and to get him in a league that better matches his age and experience.
