According to a Jason A. Churchill tweet, Seattle Mariners pitching prospect Michael Pineda could miss the rest of the regular season with a sore elbow.  He’s been on the DL for a while now but I’m told there is no structural damage and they’re just shutting him down to play it safe. Not a bad idea to shut him down considering he’s just 20 years old.

You can see Pineda throw here.  Very whippy arm action– I’m not surprised his elbow is aching, especially after the organization was trying to speed up his delivery.
