Ryan – I don’t think anyone here would actually think you truly wanted to stomp on anyone. I learn something from pretty much every Mariners site I have bookmarked (which is pretty much all of them). Some of them may conflict with each other, and in such cases, I usually trust my own eyes or knowledge of a situation (or lack thereof) to form my own opinions. There are always going to be people who think this or that writer is the Best Thing Ever or the Worst Thing Ever. You can’t please everyone all the time.
I just roll with it.

The post still exists on the site’s RSS feed, but unfortunately TNT only has the first few words of their posts on the feed rather than the entire thing.

Thanks for the kind words in the comments, thanks for the smirks and chuckles I got from reading this post. Highly entertaining.

As for any possible feuds between media, I am neutral like Switzerland. But if there is ever a melee in the press box, I just hope a certain loudmouth, mid-morning radio host, who’s name rhymes with lofty, is there, cause I’ll jolly stomp his ass first and foremost.

Well, for me, I think that Beltre does hold value to the Mariners. He’s a Type B Free Agent right now, so, I’d like to think that the front office knows this, and that they’re showcasing him right now, trying to muster up any value that he can.

Had you said Bill Hall, I’d totally agree. There’s no reason Hall should be playing.

While I’m not a huge Baker fan, Larue is really crossing the line. The fact is he is a dinosaur in the business and maybe he sees the writing on the wall. His game logs add nothing unique and he is just writing what anyone who watches the game on TV could write. He ignores new technology while Baker embraces it. Baker certainly says many stupid things but he is making an effort to stay up with the times while LaRue is not, hopefully they give his job to Divish ASAP.
In addition, Baker is correct about the games that Felix does not start don’t have meaning. Especially when Wak plays guys like Beltre every day even when he won’t be here next year. He should be evaluating guys for next year, not playing the vets.

You know i’ve noticed that Larry LaRue has really gone out of his way this year to really rag on Geoff Baker. I’m not a huge Geoff Baker fan by any means but after awhile I just stopped reading his articles Ryan Divish does it better.
