As expected, GM Jack Zduriencik has hired Tony Blengino and Tom McNamara over from the Brewers.  Also, Bob Engle and Lee Pelekoudas will remain with the Mariners.

Blengino and Engle are going to get most of the spotlight here.  Blengino is a SABR member and will hopefully help Seattle progress as a franchise.  Engle has been arguably one of Seattle’s greatest assets over the past nine seasons.

The exact roles for these four men will be defined at a later date.

I’m glad to see the ball rolling.  This should be a fun offseason.
