Zdurencik Looking for Trade Partners

As if new GM Jack Zduriencik hasn’t shaken things up enough, there could be a lot of swapping around going on between now and the Winter Meetings.
From the Prospect Insider sidebar:
A player agent and a front office member of a rival club both hinted strongly Saturday morning that the Seattle Mariners have instigated numerous trade talks about their own players, perhaps telling clubs that there are no untouchables.
“They told (his boss, the GM) that he could make an offer on any player and probably not get laughed at,” said the executive. “We like some of their arms, but I’d be surprised if Hernandez or Morrow were among those they’d seriously talk about. But they have infielders we like, too. It’s just going to be all about price.”
Prospect Insider’s Jason Churchill let us know that the Mariners “have talked trade with the Diamondbacks and Cardinals” in comment #20 in this thread, and added in #22 that he is pretty sure Yuniesky Betancourt is a part of both teams’ discussions, with Jose Lopez possibly figuring into the Diamondbacks talks.
Zduriencik mentioned in his introductory letter to season ticket holders that he had “started some trade talks at the general managers meeting.”
This is going to be an interesting offseason.
