I'd imagine the acquisition of Harden would end Morrow's tenure in Seattle. I cant see 3/5 of Seattle's rotation being dedicated to high upside, inconsistent arms

Don't say such things. You'll make me cry.

But, seriously the Rangers have no money to compete with us. If the M's really want him, (I honestly think he is a the inbetween solution of Lackey and Harden) they have far more resources to retain him should it come down to it.

I'll be getting to him, but I think he's a Ranger anyway.

Harden yes, Lackey no.

The M's could cover the expected days off for Harden with the half dozen or so spot starters that are available. You obviously want to minimize the starts by Fister, Olson, Vargas, etc., but the days that Harden is healthy and on the mound he is 1A much like Bedard was.

Church is saying he heard Z wants to add two starters, one TOR and one MID type, to free up either Morrow or RRS as a trade chip to find a solid 3B or LF.

Makes a fair amount of sense as the market has many more potential gems in the SP department than in the position player market outside of the 1B/DH types. Also, teams are over-valuing young club controlled pitching.

Jack took advantage of defense being undervalued last offseason, maybe he's looking to continue to cash in whats currently being under and over valued by other Gm's. One things for sure....shouldn't be boring.

It's technically possible, but spending nearly $25M on the rotation wouldn't leave much for the rest of the team.

a rotation of Felix, Harden, Snell, Morrow & RRS, not too shabby. Any way the M's sign Harden and Lackey (assuming Lackey comes at 15 million per? Harden 7-9 as stated above?) At that point Morrow may become trade bait... That would be quite a bit of $ to spend, but if Snell pitched to potential, and RRS continued to throw well, it would be amazing. Pair that with our defense; and the need for a ton of offensive upgrades is lessened a little.
