Beltre Blocks Twins?

12:18 PM: Geoff Baker confirms this, but says it isn’t something the two teams couldn’t work around.
11:51 AM: La Velle E. Neal III (aka LEN3):
and, suddenly, Twins people are telling me there are no-trade problems with Adrian Beltre. He does have a limited no-trade but there were no indications during the season that the Twins were on it.
Adrian Beltre didn’t want to be traded during the season, but he said he was open to being dealt in the offseason. He said that he didn’t especially want to suffer through a rebuilding year. So, as far as I can tell, there are two reason Beltre would block the Twins:
1.) Beltre doesn’t want to play on artificial turf.
2.) Beltre wants to see what GM Jack Zduriencik does before exiting to greener pastures.
So far, the only known teams on Beltre’s no-trade list are the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres, though these things can be reworked.
