In the wake of the trade that sent Mariner icon Ichiro Suzuki to the New York Yankees, Seattle-based Death Cab for Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard uploaded a song to Soundcloud called "Ichiro's Theme." Gibbard wrote on the song page that the track is a few years old, continuing:

"Today seems like the best day to let you all hear it. Thank you, Ichiro."

I've found most baseball-inspired songs to feel a little awkward or forced, but this one's a keeper.
